OTHERWORLD: The Good Guys

I'm so damn proud of Me. This picture took forever. Not because there was anything particularly difficult in it, but because there was just so friggin MUCH! It turned out more monotone than I liked (I love grayscale, but it doesn't work for me, somehow), and background-less, thanks to my sadistic photopaint program.
Anyway, this is the main cast of my manga, OTHERWORLD (because I suck at titles... Gah... anyone with a better title for the story of a lonley, gay, Japanese kids who is thrown into a magical parallell universe and ends up saving it would be nice to tell me). Maybe three or four people might remember the four pages I did around Christmas. Honestly, school kept me so busy and sapped my creativity so much I almost have an excuse for that extraordinary negligence. Well, anyway, these are the protagonists.
Center: Obsidian, the hero, so to speak. He's a depressive human teenager who was thrown into another world for reasons that would be plot spoilers. Gothic, rather artistic, gay, sentimental, cowardly, sweet, guliible, manipulable, molestable, traumatized... This list goes on and on. I love his shoes.
Left: Shale, a human exile and Obsidian's best friend, in the sense of A TOTAL LACK OF ANY ROMANTIC INCLINATION! She's not the brightest crayon in the sky, and to catch her on a bad day is to die, and die painfully. However, she's funny and soft-hearted, more of a comical character than most of the others, and sensative. Her specialty is whacking stuff with a big, sharp piece of metal.
Far Left: Onyx, a "demon" (English aproximation) who finds Obs amusing and Shale enticing. His specialty is doing things wrong and going to pieces about it. He's cheerful and loves everything, but feels he should be tough and unfeeling. An archer and vimpire.
Right: Alabaster, another demon, who's bitchy and incredibly brilliant. (Also very hard to draw. I suck at wings. He has another outfit, with a cool hat and spiffy armor, but I let myself get away with drawing him in this one.) He lives with dragons, who protect the demon city from humans. While he can swordfight, he prefers magic, and studies a lot. Develops an interest in Obsidian, curious about the world he came from. Obsidian develops an INTEREST in him, too... Yaoi angst
Further Right: Zzt, the strange little animal thing. I have yet to figure out quite how to draw him. He's Shale's little minion, a minor demon who plays magical ocarinas and eats raw meat. He functions in the plot more than you'd think.
Farest Right: Lapis Lazuli, Half Demon, no relation to Inu Yasha. Bitter, angry at the world, perverted sexual predator, possible homicidal maniac... He's my favorite, actually. He has various powers over water and likes to molest Obsidian. Everything else about him is pretty plot related, being as he's a freakin introvert who never reveals anything unless it's a life and death matter.
One last note, and I'll shut up. Everybody is standing around Obsidian's sitting-alone-to-think rock. He'd probably kill them if they were there. I made 'em pose for this pic.
